The Shipibo are Masters of Ayahuasca. Ayahuasca is a Sacred Medicinal plant from the Amazon that when drunk, facilitates great healing. When a Maestro (shaman) drinks Ayahuasca to enable healing they will sing Icaros (Medicine Songs) to the individual calling for healing. In the spirit realm of this visionary plant these Icaros have a vibrational frequency that can be seen by the Maestro. For generations the Shipibo have recorded the visions of Ayahuasca in handwoven tapestries and now also clothes.
Tantamunay Shipibo Clothing work in partnership with the Shipibo Tribe in communities along the Ucayali to produce high quality garments that are embroidered with these medicine songs.
