Continuing the launch of Tantamunay Shipibo Clothing we are moved to share some of the Shipibo Tapestries we have. The sale of a Shipibo Tapestry such as this for a Shipibo Woman who is supporting her family upon the ancestral lands is essential for the sustainability of that month. Each tapestry usually takes about a month to make and for a Shipibo woman sewing is done when all the other work has been done such as taking care of the house, children and food preparation. Often times Shipibo women sew by candlelight at nighttime swinging in hammocks as they do so Holding awareness of how important these sales are to our sisters we have made an agreement that when it comes to big tapestries that each woman will receive as much as possible for these sales and so we only deduct tax and shipping from each sale. By taking this collective decision we can do our part to continue the path walked by the soul and essence of Tantamunay to offer service to the cultural sustainability of the Shipibo communities and support women in communities where there is no healing centre to have access to a global market place. We continue our work in service of the sacred plant medicine Ayahuasca for the path walked of service to the preservation, continuation of ancestral medicine practices as expressed through Maestro Deodomero, Maestro Hernan and Maestra Rosenda. Thank you for supporting Tantamunay
