The Shipibo are Masters of Ayahuasca. Ayahuasca is a Sacred Medicinal plant from the Amazon that when drunk, facilitates great healing. When a Maestro (shaman) drinks Ayahuasca to enable healing they will sing Ikaros (Medicine Songs) to the individual seeking healing. In the spirit realm of this visionary plant these Icaros have a vibrational frequency that can be seen by the Maestro. For generations the Shipibo have recorded the visions of Ayahuasca in handwoven tapestries and now also clothes. Tantamunay Shipibo Clothing work in partnership with the Shipibo Tribe to produce high quality garments that are embroidered with these medicine songs.

The Medicine Song on this garment is the old way of representing the Anaconda, in the past the Shipibo had only a few colours, those that naturally occurred in nature, white, black and brown, so ancient designs played upon the contrast to represent the plant world. The back of this garment is an infinity winged angel heart.
